My prayer is that God leads you to a close knit spiritual family that will care for you and enable you to grow by leaps and bounds in your relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. WE ARE AN EVANGELICAL CHURCH!

And being evangelical, we believe that the Holy Bible is God’s Word, and that Jesus was and is God’s Son. We believe that any relationship that a man has with God must begin with an acknowledgement by that one that he is helpless to initiate and/or maintain such a relationship. He must understand that entrance into such a relationship is only available through the sacrificial death of the God-man, Jesus Christ, on a criminal’s cross. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ and in His imminent return to the earth.

We rely on the Bible for all teaching and preaching and trust it to lead and guide us in living a life pleasing to God. Without being in anyway condescending, rude or judgmental, we are committed to sharing the wonderful truths in the precious book with all who will listen.

WE ARE A BAPTIST CHURCH!

And because of this, we practice "believer’s baptism" by full immersion toward those who have put trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. We are affiliated with the Judson Association of The American Baptists of Massachusetts and the American Baptists - USA.

WE ARE A GRACE-BASED CHURCH!

We strive to accept all who walk in our doors, regardless of where they may be in life and in their journey toward God, recognizing that each of us was once on the "outside looking in". We truly have learned the truth of the age-old idiom "There but by the grace of God, go I." We know that church was never meant for people who have it "all together", but rather for regular folks on a journey toward healing, wholeness and a love-relationship with their Creator. Neither the pastor, nor any worshipper at Maplewood Baptist Church has "arrived" yet. We’re all on the journey together. Come, join us!

WE ARE A GROWING CHURCH!

On a good Sunday, we are about 100 strong – and we’re moving forward. Visitors comment on the warmth of the people here, the joy in worship and the passion of our music.

WE ARE A TEACHING AND PRAYING CHURCH!

We have opportunities beyond the Sunday morning worship service for people to learn more about God, His Word and His purpose for our lives. We presently have classes for children, young adults, older adults, men, and a youth group for teens on Sunday nights. All groups allow time for participants to pray for one another and other concerns and needs.

WE ARE A SERVING CHURCH!

We are continually challenging each other to serve the world around us. Included in our service ministries is a food pantry, our annual Thanksgiving Ingathering, meals prepared and served at the Boston Rescue Mission, and a program to send children and teens to summer camp via scholarships.
